INDEPENDENT
TESTING OF ESKIMO FISH OIL
INDEPENDENT STABILITY TESTING
Eskimo-3 is
a very stable fish oil, and contains a unique patent
pending mixture of different antioxidants, called Pufanox, which restore the antioxidants (substances
which prevent cells from injury) that are lost during
the purification procedure.
Stabilising
an omega-3 product is a very difficult and expensive
procedure and the technique is known by very few people.
A stable omega-3 product does not turn rancid either
outside or within the body, and neither tastes nor
smells "fishy".
2006:
Eskimo Stability Confirmed in Swedish Analysis
An independent analysis on the peroxide values (PV) in
fish oil was conducted in February 2006. PV is a marker
of rancidity, the lower the level the better. If the
fish oil is not stabilised with ingredients such as
antioxidants, it can quickly become rancid. After 1
month exposed to air, PV
values for Eskimo-3 and Eskimo Kids were far lower than
any other product tested and in fact were the
only two products to fall below the upper limit. PV
values of the other products tested varied between being
over twice to almost 46 times greater than that found in
Eskimo oils!
1999: Eskimo-3 Stability Confirmed in UK Analysis
In a survey
published by the Royal Society of Chemistry, Cambridge,
UK, in 1999, Eskimo-3 was found to be 10-200 times more
stable than the other 13 omega-3 products tested.

INDEPENDENT PURITY TESTING
2005: Government Surveys Give Eskimo a Clean
Bill of Health
The UK’s Food Standards Agency carries out a
wide-ranging programme of food surveys. They have
recently published the results of 3 surveys on fish oil
purity:
October 2005:
Survey of mercury in fish oil supplements
The survey measured the total mercury content in 100
samples of fish oil dietary supplements, including
Eskimo-3. The results showed that
Eskimo-3 contains
undetectable levels of the heavy metal, mercury.
December 2005:
PAHs in dietary supplements
The
survey measured 15 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons
(PAHs) in 210 samples of dietary supplements, including
10 fish oils. PAHs may be genotoxic and carcinogenic to
humans. The results showed that Eskimo Kids contains
undetectable levels
of PAHs.
December 2005:
Surveys of metals and other elements in dietary
supplements
The
survey measured 13 metals and elements in 200 samples of
dietary supplements, including 9 fish oils. The results
showed that Eskimo Kids was the best performing fish
oil, containing
undetectable levels of all metals and elements.
Iron was the only element that was detected at a very
low level and as the survey states, is regarded as being
essential for health.
2002:
Eskimo-3 "the best performing overall fish
oil supplement"
Eskimo-3 has been
carefully purified from all environmental poisons and in
a test performed in 2002 by the Food Safety Authority of
Ireland and sponsored by the Irish government, Eskimo-3
was found to be much purer than the other 14 tested
omega-3 products.
