Directions for use:

Tincture of Harpagophytum procumbens (Devil’s Claw) dried root, extracted in
alcohol (66% v/v). |

Inflammation is a defensive response of the
body to injury which causes widening (dilation) of blood vessels with
redness, pain, heat and swelling. The process involves the release of
prostaglandins which stimulate pain receptors.
Devil's Claw has been shown to be
beneficial in acute and chronic conditions of the musculoskeletal system,
where inflammation is present. It reduces pain and inflammation probably
mediated through the corticosteroid-like action.
The ability for Devil's Claw to be of help
in autoimmune conditions may make it useful in conditions such as rheumatoid
arthritis and SLE.
Its action in stabilising the immune system
gives Devil's Claw a role in the treatment of allergies such as hayfever. |
