(please
read this important notice concerning supplement medical claims)
May help symptoms of:
- Hayfever
- Allergic
rhinitis
- Other
airborne allergies (such as animal fur, feathers, perfume)
Hayfever is an allergic reaction to
pollen, especially grass pollen, which causes sneezing, a runny nose
and red, streaming eyes.
It is a condition which is often inherited
along with other 'allergic' conditions such as eczema and asthma. These
three conditions have been given the term the 'Atopic Triad'.
Bioforce recommend Luffa Complex for
allergic conditions and hayfever. The symptoms of sneezing, itching
in the nose, throat and eyes, asthma and coughs may be improved through
the synergistic actions of the individual components.

Bioforce (UK) Ltd. was established
in 1987 and is based in Irvine, Scotland. Bioforce is the UK leader in herbal medicine
and is at the forefront of Phytotherapy, the science of using herbs to maintain
health and influence illness. It is their mission to bridge the gap between traditional
herbal knowledge and modern science, creating the best possible natural remedies.
Bioforce's flagship product,
Echinaforce,
is the best selling natural cold and flu remedy in the UK.
The Bioforce parent company, based
in Roggwil, Switzerland where their herb farms are situated, was founded in 1963
by Alfred Vogel, the eminent Swiss Naturopath. Vogel was intuitively convinced that
fresh herb extraction produced the most effective natural remedies. He also strongly
believed in using the whole plant and these principles have been developed into
a method known as Holistic Standardisation. This is central to the quality of every
one of their products to ensure that all the goodness and potency present in the
herb is available to you.
Bioforce (UK) Ltd prides itself on
its firm foundation as a modern science-based company grounded in the knowledge
and traditions of herbalists and naturopaths. Training, research and quality information
are their watchwords. They have a comprehensive programme of education to ensure
that the most up-to-date information is available to those who use the Bioforce
products. Their teams of Territory Managers and Herbal Advisors are supplemented
by a Nutritionist, Pharmacists and Quality Control staff and headed by their Medical
Director, Dr Jen Tan, who also leads a very active Clinical Research Department,
the first of its kind in the UK, which is designed to perform in-house trials and
establish an information exchange for all healthcare professionals.
Herbs
For thousands of years, herbs have been used to help maintain many aspects of health
and wellness. Today, research and technology are bringing herbalism into the modern
age – with improved extraction, standardization, and farming methods. Clinical studies
are beginning to validate herbal therapies, so even some in the medical community
are starting to accept them.
Many
of today’s medicines were originally derived from botanicals. Aspirin once came
from the white willow tree, quinine from the bark of the cinchona tree, and digitalis
from foxglove. Herbs are still the basis for Chinese medicine and are important
constituents of many European natural remedies. As Hippocrates said, “Let they food
by thy medicine, thy medicine be thy food”.
Some
of the herbs available on this site are wild-crafted – grown in the wild – while
others are meticulously cultivated on herb farms.
