With
endometriosis cells from the lining of the uterus also grow elsewhere in the
abdomen, including around the ovaries, fallopian tubes, bladder, bowel and
lining of the abdomen.Symptoms
include severe pain in the uterus and other areas mentioned, excessive menstrual
bleeding with large clots, nausea and vomiting.Anaemia andinfertility
can result.The blood that
accumulates with each menstrual cycle, if not actually in the uterus, doesn’t
leave the body in the usual way and has to be slowly reabsorbed into the tissues
and this can cause pain. Many women
find their symptoms improve during pregnancy and in some cases the improvement
is permanent.Investigate
endometriosis thoroughly yourself and with the help of a qualified complementary
health practitioner before succumbing to a hysterectomy.
