SORE
THROAT
About Sore ThroatsMost
sore throats are caused by viral infections such as the common cold. Streptococcus bacteria can also be responsible. In most cases an acute sore throat will go away on its own within a few
days or a couple of weeks and this can be speeded up with the dietary and
supplementation advice given below. They
are often a first sign of other disorders, such as cold, flu, glandular fever, candidiasis,
lowered immunity, and so on. Very
rarely they may indicate a more serious problem such as laryngeal cancer, or
there may be an abscess around the tonsils.
